2001-7-31 to 8-7
Test P09 on BNL roof. See cruise Z0107p09.
2001-9-3
Install on Ronald Brown in San Diego, Cruise rb0107 (VENTS).
2001-12-18
Remove P09 from the Ron Brown and returned home for service and calibration.
2001-12-21
Shipped RSR head(#483) to YES for post cruise calibration.
2002-01-02
Head #483 returned from YES and reinsulated and installed on P09. Removed PIR for a thermistor calibration. Changed the shaft o-rings and the motor case cover. The motor case cover now has a "D" hole for the Conxall. Installed a new black anodized shadowband. Opened and checked the PNI and Preamp boxes: no signs of moisture or oxidation. Greased cover screws and closed. Inspected the Conxalls and all appear to be fine. P09 is scheduled to be put back on the Ron Brown on 1/15/02.
2002-03-28
Went to Jacksonville to recover P09 from the Ron Brown. it will be reinstalled in the 2nd week in June.
2002-06-06
Motor case had water in it from the last cruise. Replaced faulty motor, checked and greased all the seals and o-rings. Put on roof for burn-in.
2002-06-18
Head cable failed. A new cable has been made and system is operating normally. A complete set of cables is in the process of being made for this unit in time for the next deployment.
2002-07-9
Unit installed on the Ron Brown for the NEW ENGLAND AIR QUALITY STUDY.
2002-09-19
Replaced the PIR cable because of erroneous thermopile readings, while the ship was in New York.
2002-11-21
P09 was removed from the Ron Brown and sent to BNL for maintenance and calibration.
2002-12-17
Installed on roof to do a side by side comparison with P08 until 030117.
2003-01-22
P09 head #483 was sent to YES for calibration. Head #352, from P08, was installed on P09 and run for one week from 1/20 - 1/26.
2003-01-27
O-rings were changed, connectors were cleaned, greased and then P09 was shipped to Charleston for redeployment on the Ron Brown.
